lyrics
Suffocating, but yet I’m not dying
Bellowing out horrible screams but taking on water
Trapped in this terrible place, clenched down my chain and anvil
Denounced a witched, which truthfully I am
No death to be taken, endless torment I am forsaken
Drowning eternally, to suffer all time
Forever swelling malignant levels of water
Intestines and lungs, writhing in pain X2
I live this sentence, at the bottom of the lake
Trapped inside a decaying body that will not rest
As time passes, the more I shall waste
But my soul lives on with this wretched fate
Casted out for the secrecy of my mystical ways
A judgment from a zealous lords cries
My sanity, losing grip of it all
Will to live, existence of thee, but I will not die
The cruelty of this destiny, I have been forsworn to a paradoxical endless death
My body continues to deteriorate, but my soul refuses to tarry, so I live on
Choking, drowning, molting, intestinal failure, nothing a mortal could live to suffer
I Won’t Die
Release me from immortal
End This Life
Existence means nothing
Swelling in agony, this torture undeserved
Begging for termination, but no one to reach
My undead identity, my unfathomable fatality
No peace to be had, no rest or bereavement await X2
I Won’t Die
Release me from immortal
End This Life
Existence means nothing

Very late to the party, but for several years I've found melodic black metal all too similar and all albums sounding like Dissection, etc... HOWEVER, not only I am back into it but UADA is still a layer of complexity above the main baseline and this is an old album worth having, that's a basic milestone in UADA's discography and I felt it needed to be part of my BC collection. sachavonkarl74

HIGH quality L.A. doom sludge trio that should have A LOT more action here. What the hell?! People are still sheep, even in the heavy underground. The same engineering & mixing wizard credited on a lot of Melvins (among others) material also has this on his resume y'all. It sounds phenomenal too, like everything else. And look, even some vinyl left. Newer ep too. Smdh. Heddbuzz (I.R. Puffinstuff)
More cathartic, atmospheric heaviness from the German doom metallers, balancing no-nonsense hooks with proggy flourishes. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 14, 2023

What a beautiful, haunting experience all around, always melts me from start to finish. Incredible and deep sound, amazing atmosphere and cohesion, unexpected jazz elements unlike anything I've heard, and don't get me started on the vocals. Really hard to choose a favorite track. dan-rod
